CO2 performance ladder

Fudura invests in a reliable, sustainable and affordable energy supply for its customers, actively focusing on reducing negative environmental impacts.

As part of our environmental policy, we deploy the CO2 performance ladder to provide insight into and reduce our own direct and indirect CO2 emissions. Since several years Fudura has achieved level 3 on the CO2 performance ladder.

Fudura aims to reduce net CO2 emissions in scope 1 and 2 by 42% by 2030 compared to 2021.

In addition, by 2025 we want to have fully mapped out Scope 3 emissions and set concrete reduction targets for them.

We are going to achieve this by:

  1. To be reduced: take measures aimed at preventing emissions and reducing energy consumption as much as possible,

  2. To be preserved: measures aimed at using sustainably generated energy and fuels as much as possible,

  3. To change: by taking measures aimed at providing the remaining energy needs as efficiently as possible.

Our CO2 emissions and the road to sustainability

At Fudura, we take our responsibility for a more sustainable future seriously. Most of our scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions come from transportation, including business travel. The remainder is caused by energy consumption in our offices.

To minimize our impact, we have a Energy Conservation Action Plan (EMA). developed. This plan focuses on reducing and making our energy demand more sustainable. The core of our action plan consists of two main categories: buildings and transport.

Sustainable buildings

To improve the sustainability of our buildings, we focus on:

  • Achievement of average energy label A for all our offices.

  • Include energy performance in leases to ensure sustainable agreements.

  • Use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power.

  • CO₂ reduction by raising awareness among employees.

Sustainable transportation

Our transportation action plan focuses on:

  • Offices closer to public transport, therefore less CO2 emissions per km

  • Electrification of employee vehicle fleet.

  • Gradual electrification of commercial vehicles.

Our communication and commitment

At Fudura, we believe collaboration is essential to achieving our sustainability goals. To keep employees engaged and provide insight into our progress, we communicate regularly about our results and ambitions. We do this through:

  • Internal newsletters with updates on our sustainability initiatives;

  • Periodic reports that provide insight into our progress;

  • Actions to encourage sustainable behavior, where we encourage colleagues to contribute to our sustainability goals in a fun way.

Collaboration in the chain

Fudura actively cooperates with partners and organizations to contribute to a sustainable future. Since June 2024, we have been a member of the Dutch Renewable Energy Association. Within this network, we participate in committees and working groups in the areas of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and new laws and regulations surrounding energy transition.

In addition, we regularly attend seminars and knowledge sessions to keep abreast of the latest developments in our industry. Through these collaborations, we contribute to knowledge sharing and innovation throughout the energy industry.
