We are Fudura

Environmental, Social and Governance

At Fudura, we are at the forefront of the energy transition.

We support our clients in making their energy infrastructure more sustainable and optimizing their energy management. At the same time, we critically assess our own actions because real change starts with ourselves. That’s why we make our processes greener, consciously choose environmentally friendly solutions, and always prioritize safety. By setting a good example and inspiring others, we work together towards a livable future for everyone.

Our CSR policy is based on three pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance. Together, these pillars form the foundation of our vision, actions, and policies regarding ESG of our company. Below, we provide further details.

Environment

Climate

Under "Environment," our activities focus on Climate, Circularity, and Biodiversity. Fudura is the essential link between business and energy. Without us, the operations of 25,000 customers would come to a standstill. That is why we ensure a reliable energy infrastructure and provide the smartest insights into energy performance.
As an organization, we must also actively create insight into our own footprint and take measures to further reduce it.

Fudura aims to reduce its net CO₂ emissions in scope 1 and 2 by 42% by 2030 compared to 2021.

Additionally, the company aims to have fully mapped its Scope 3 emissions by 2025 and to establish concrete reduction targets. Our CO₂ reduction goal aligns with the Paris Climate Agreement and has been validated by the Science Based Target Initiative©.

How will we achieve this? Visit our CO₂ Performance Ladder page to learn more.

Circularity

  • Sustainable Stations: When it comes to transformers, we offer two sustainable options: the Bio-transformer and the refurbished transformer.
  • Waste Management and Collection: Fudura collaborates with Milgro to improve our waste management at offices and other locations, with a strong focus on waste separation.

Biodiversity

  • Trees for All: Fudura is a proud tree partner of Trees for All. We donate trees on our employees' birthdays.
  • Green Roofs on Substations: In 2024, Fudura installed its first green roof on a transformer station at Waterschap De Dommel. This sedum roof, made up of resilient rock plants, improves air quality, captures rainwater, and provides natural cooling. Additionally, it creates an inviting habitat for butterflies, bees, and birds.

Social

At Fudura, we put people first. We measure employee satisfaction twice a year through an employee satisfaction survey. We have an active and engaged works council and participate in the CAO CNV.

We foster a safe and inclusive work environment where diversity is valued, and employees can grow and develop. Additionally, we actively contribute to society by participating in projects that create a positive impact. Fudura sets clear objectives focused on safety, diversity, and social impact.

Safety first

  • We strive for zero accidents (LTIF 0).
  • Maintaining level 3 of the Safety Culture Ladder certification.
  • Each year, we renew the VCA, ISO 27001, and ISO 9001 certifications, along with the necessary audits.

Our people

  • We have a diversity policy and are working towards achieving a more balanced gender distribution within our organization.
  • Every year, in the first quarter, we conduct a study on a potential pay gap within Fudura.
  • Fudura’s Supplier Code of Conduct emphasizes corporate social responsibility.

Social initiatives

  • Instead of gifts, we plant trees through Trees for All for our employees.
  • We support Stichting Beeldend Gesproken by purchasing artworks for our offices.
  • All coffee in our offices is fair trade and packaged at a social workplace.
  • We support the Vrienden van Bambanani foundation in South Africa, aiming to make at least four schools energy-neutral each year.

Stichting Bambanani

Every day, we help Dutch companies to improve their energy performance. In addition, we want to look further to implement our vision, also across the borders. Fudura helps the youngest generation in South Africa become self-sufficient in energy.
