Environment, people and society
At Fudura, we are at the forefront of the energy transition.
We support our customers in making their energy infrastructure more sustainable and in optimizing their energy management. At the same time, we take a critical look at our own actions, because real change starts with yourself. That is why we make our processes greener, consciously choose environmentally friendly solutions, and always put safety first. By setting a good example ourselves and inspiring others, together we are building a liveable future for everyone.
The CSR policy rests on 3 pillars: People, Environment and Society. Together, these pillars form the basis for our vision, our actions and our policy on the environment, people, society and the management of our company. We explain them below.
Environment
'Environment' includes our activities related to Climate, Circularity and Biodiversity. Fudura is the indispensable link between business and energy. Without us, the activities of 25,000 customers stand still. That's why we provide a reliable energy infrastructure and the smartest insights into energy performance.
As an organization, we have no choice but to actively create an understanding of our own footprint and take measures to reduce it even further.
Fudura aims to reduce its net CO2 emissions in scope 1 and 2 by 42% by 2030 compared to 2021.
Read moreIn addition to reducing CO2 emissions, Fudura aims to have its Scope 3 emissions fully mapped out by 2025 and to set concrete reduction targets for this purpose. Our CO2 reduction target is in line with the Paris Climate Agreement and has been validated by the Science Based Target Initiative©. How are we going to achieve this? Check out our page on the CO2 performance ladder to read more about it.
Circularity
Sustainable stations: In terms of transformers, we have two sustainable options: the Bio transformer and the refurbished transformer.
Waste treatment and collection: Fudura is working with Milgro to improve our waste management at the offices and other locations, with waste separation playing an important role.
Biodiversity
Trees for all: Fudura is tree partner of Trees for all. We donate trees on our employees' birthdays.
Green roofs on substations: In 2024, Fudura installed the first Green Roof on a transformer station at Waterschap de Dommel. This sedum roof, consisting of strong rock plants, improves air quality, captures rainwater and provides natural cooling. It also provides an attractive environment for butterflies, bees and birds.
People
At Fudura, we put people first. We measure employee satisfaction twice a year through employee satisfaction surveys. We have an active and involved works council. And we participate in the CNV collective bargaining agreement.
We create a safe, inclusive work environment where diversity is valued and where employees can grow and develop. In addition, we actively contribute to society by participating in projects that have a positive impact. In doing so, Fudura sets goals focused on safety, diversity and social impact.
